The Perkin Elmer Optima 3300DV is an inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometer (ICP-OES). The machine performs a similar role to the AAS - analysis of single elements in solution by atomic emission or absorption -but with better detection limits (Parts per million to parts per billion detection limits)

  • A water chiller (local to the instrument)
