The Q800 DMA is used to measure viscoelastic properties, such as modulus and damping of rigid and soft solid materials. It can measure modulus (elasticity) and viscosity (damping) as a function of time, temperature, frequency, stress (or force) and strain (or displacement), or as a combination of these functions. The Q800 can be used with 3 different measuring systems: single or dual cantilever, 3-point bending and tension modes. It can also be used with a constant force to perform standard Thermomechanical Analysis (TMA). The Q800 DMA is a liquid nitrogen cooled instrument (-145 to 600 oC).
