Please contact us at help@jisc.ac.uk with 'Equipment Data Service' in the subject line if you have any questions about eligibility.
We have recently upgraded the service, and we now have a new data management platform, where institutions will be able to manage their data, map to the data model, request Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) for equipment and publish records.
You will have the following options:
Learn how to register below. You can go to the data management platform user guide on steps to provide data.
Our recommended license for open data is: CC0 - Public Domain Dedication. This license is the most open and allows people to use your data without any restrictions. Once a work is associated with this deed all rights to the work worldwide under copyright law are waived (including all related and neighbouring rights) to the extent allowed by law.
However, we may also harvest appropriate data without a specific license, if it is available on the web in machine readable form, unless asked not to by the data owner.
You will need to register your organisation and provide us with your details and accept new terms and conditions.
If your organisation was already supplying data before the upgrade, you still need to register.
Once you register, you will be sent an email with the link to the service and a one-time password. You will not need to manage your passwords as a new one-time password will be generated for each new session when you log-in.
