Field Maps

What are field maps?

Field maps allow you to match your data model to the fields within the Equipment Data service. You must select the right field map when you add records from a file to ensure that your data is correctly integrated and usable within the platform.

Pure equipment module and Kit-Catalogue data model fields will also be preloaded into the system, if you’re using the standard out-of-the-box configuration.

Field maps added to the system are displayed as a searchable list. To ensure easy identification, each field map should be clearly named. If multiple field maps have similar titles, a unique internal ID is also assigned to distinguish them.

Service data model mapping (standard map)

The Equipment Data Service data model has already been preloaded for you. We recommend that you use the standard Equipment Data spreadsheet template to upload your records.

When using the template, your data will already be formatted to the system requirements, making adding records quicker and easier. Download the template and prepare it with your data ready for adding to the system.
