Remove records
Remove published from migration records
If your institution was already providing data to the service before the upgrade, then as part of the data migration to the data management platform the data was given a “published from migration” status. When you initially log-in to the data management platform you will be able to either keep and update or delete these records and upload a new spreadsheet or manually input new records and go then through the publishing process.
Steps to remove records published from migration:
- In order to remove records which have been imported from the migration, you can click “Remove selected”.
- You can delete these records individually or bulk delete these records.
Remove published records
You will not be able to delete records on the data management platform once they have a published status with or without DOI.
If you need to remove a published record, then please contact us at help@jisc.ac.uk with "Equipment Data Service” in the subject line.
Note: if you want to show that a piece of equipment is no longer active, you can fill in the decommissioned date. The record will still show on the site, but it also shows that it has been decommissioned and is no longer in use.
Removing records submitted for approval
As an editor, if you spot that a particular record shouldn’t be there and it hasn’t been published yet, as it was added by mistake for example, you can remove this record.
Steps to remove records pending review:
- Select the checkbox on the left of the table and click “Remove selected”.
- An overlay will appear to allow you to review the records you are about to remove from the submission.
- If you are happy with the records you are about to remove from the submission, click “Confirm”. Otherwise, click “Cancel” to return to your records page.
